About the Role

Our client in the Freight Logistics is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their HR team with an emphasis of general HR operations and Labour Relations.

  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations is required.

  • 3-5yrs HR Generalist experience, preferably in the Freight Logistics, Warehouse and Logistics, Transport industry with extensive experience in Industrial Relations

  • Thorough knowledge of all labour legislation (EEA, BCEA, LRA, Skills Development Act).

  • · Valid driver’s license and own car.

  • · Experience in disciplinary management and performance management.

  • CCMA experience from conciliation through to arbitration.

  • Collective bargaining council experience as well.

  • The incumbent is required to travel across the sites.

  • Team Player.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Can work independently.

Detailed Description

  • Administer special projects.

  • Collate information for annual / quarterly reporting.

  • Provide generalist support in respect of the HR Operations of the various business units.

  • Provide advisory services to management on IR matters.

  • Facilitate the management and promotion of fair and sound Labour Relations.

  • Curate and advise on performance management processes.

  • Manage and effect all internal and external disputes (inclusive of CCMA through to arbitration).

  • Curate and advise on collective bargaining.
